“new many eyes track is better than the first. riffage still leaves a lot to be desired tho” [2]

not a terribly big fan of this timeline as it relates to this band : / really struggling to care about either of the offshoot projects

New single, just like the last one, is good but not much more. Better Lovers is still reigning supreme by a very very long mile for me.

it def has more juice than the first but still sounds like keith working with studio musicians. both songs remind me of browsing the bargain bin for CDs and stumbling upon the ost for a movie released in 2005. action man 9 feat songs by keith buckley!!

even if better lovers hasn’t been a homerun they are so far ahead of many eyes imo

it’s just a toothless every time I die

I really want to like these songs but let’s be real, they’d literally just be the worst song on any given ETID album

Imagine if the Many Eyes vocalist formed a band with the drummer, guitarist, and bassist of Better Lovers... would be insane

don’t even think they’d qualify for the cutting room floor of an etid album tbh. i really do hope they got some sauce in em but the instrumentals have been mid af

They really aren’t. All of their bonus tracks kick the shit out of these two songs, aren’t they all just b sides?

“aren’t they all just b sides?”

no clue but man i’d hope they’d come out swingin harder than dropping 2 b sides for their first singles. maybe they felt the keith recognition was enough lol

I worded that weird, I meant aren’t the ETID bonus tracks just b sides

And I like Greg, Better Lovers is by far the better project so far at least

Me personally I'm team Better Lovers. Many Eyes songs are good but desperately need more instrumentally.
