Not a bad review for one of your firsts. Who am I to judge though, considering Ive written one review and when I get around to writing my second review that I will hopefully become a better writer over time too. This album has so many good songs but there are a few that sound like crap! Bitter Peace is probably one of my favourite Slayer tracks of all time.

Well, this album is what got me into actually caring about Slayer and listening to their albums as a whole and not just listening single songs. It is actually a great album. Bitter Peace, Stain of Mind, Love To Hate and Point kick some major ass.

I don't like this album.. I get lost, I can't discern between songs. It's completely repetitive.

I can't understand the dislike for this album.IMHO it's Slayer's best release.
Plus, THE coolest album cover EVER!

Depends on what you currently listen to. If you already like thrash/death, than it's a toss up. If you're an indie or nu fag looking to get into Slayer, than this isn't too bad.

Like me, it seems this album was the first one for many people. I bought this and South of Heaven on the same day.
I haven't gotten into Slayer much, otherwise.
Of the Slayer albums I do have, Diabolus in Musica has the better whole-album feel that I like. The guitar tone, most of Araya's vocal deliveries, the song structures.. they draw me in a little better on this one.

DIM may not have the essence of the earlier slayer albums. But it's at least somewhat OK doing something in the progressive stage and what is good about slayer.Although songs overt enemy and perversion of pain really stand out as the best tracks while the rest sounds either diluted or repetitive on more than occasion.
