i think this may be the weakest of his 6 albums in 6 months spurt, i just cant see the fuss apart from past recedes, "shadows collide with people" is amazing though

I have to check it out, because this album rocked my world, and changed the way i approach writing songs. maybe its because this is my first solo frusciante listen.

The Past Recedes was the first song I ever heard of John Frusciante's solo work and it got me so much into his music, though I have'nt heard the whole Curtains album yet...
I love his voice...

ya this is a great album. You know, hes gonna go down as one of those great rock composers that are remembered for decades and decades, just watch. How many people can release that many good musical quality albums PLUS all the stuff he did with the chili peppers in such a short amount of time.. amazing. Reminds me of the 60s (even tho i was born in the 80s) when artists used to release 2 albums a year, today its an album every 2 years if your lucky

Man, I saw an awesome video of him covering Blue Sunday by the Doors. I want to get somethuin by him.
I wouldn't be surprised if his solo stuff was better than RHCP.

Don't be, even tho the Chili Peppers are amazing, i think alot of people will like John's more, not everyone, but alot.

oh wow this is good. So glad I started getting more of his stuff. Shadows Collide kind of sucked and it's a wonder I tried anything else.

I've been listening to this today, I got The Empryean and already had SHadows Collide, and whilst this is more udnerstated than those two, it's equally as good IMO.

I listen to "Past Recedes," "Anne," "Time Tonight," and "Leap Your Bar," and this album is a 5. The rest of the album is just weaker IMO. I prefer Shadows to this.

Bumped this to a 5. Had this album for about 2 years and I still listen to it at least once a week.
