I skimmed the first half of the Aside and wtf every song sounds the same - minamilistic, space and empty and Taylor barely has anything to say. The title track sounds like she’s doing a poor CRJ impression.

There's no way in fuck I'm listening to 31 fucking Taylor Swift songs with the lyrics I've been seeing.

Ok but like I quickly skimmed the full double album and is she allergic to major keys now because why is every song the same drab, soulless piano/acoustic ballads for 2 FUCKING HOURS LMAO

Listening today when I get the time, and while I am pretty sure I will love it, I really wonder if I should set out a couple listening periods.

"We would pick a decade / We wished we could live in instead of this / I'd say the 1830s but without all the racists"

Bruh. 34 years old.

The other one she wrote alone was “who’s afraid of little old me”

The second disc has the highest highs of the entire project, but it doesn't do enough to ultimately change my feelings about the whole thing being overlong, overwrought mess.

Oh it’s definitely overlong. There’s probably 10-12 tracks across the 31 which are pretty decent, but she desperately needs better producers and quality control at this point, same issue as Midnights again.

Yeah it doesn't really say much that the second disc is better given the first is ultimately boring as sin. I actually liked the opening 3 tracks and I Can Do It With a Broken Heart but the other songs were mostly the same thing over and over again, sounding uninspired.

So High School is probably the best song on the project but avoid reading the lyrics.

The lyrics are pretty wack overall but it's not bad so far, definitely better than this at the very least lol

Just finished and I think it's a solid 2/5 only because there are probably only 4 or 5 songs out of 31 I'd be willing to listen to again.

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart is like, the best song she's made since the 1989 days

Broken Heart deserves a shoutout. I think it is still clunky lyrically, but it's very fun.
