Might lower this to a 3.5 only because compared to Disintegration it's really disappointing. On it's own merits it's still really good.

Good album, probably the worst album cover of all time.

I don't know why you have to compare this album to Disintegration tho, the Cure have released enough albums to keep you all busy for some time.

Objectively speaking, this could be the 5th best Cure record...

It definitely pales in comparison to Disintegration

Cause Ive been on a Disintegration kick and I had never jammed this in full before, was expecting a lot more. Maybe its a grower.

Used to think that Robert was boring as a guitarrist until I listened all I want which is pretty much one long guitar solo and I bite my tongue after that.

I like how bassists like Gallup creates bass lines which does not follow the guitar riff, like torture and make the song even cooler.

Double LP for absolutely no reason I can only imagine the record company guys desperately wanting to publish just 8 songs and Robert Smith pushing for a double. But hey, props for anywhere capable of writing Just Like Heaven - just do whatever you want with the album well arrange a Best Of soon enough

Is Just Like Heaven the best pop song ever?
Probably

It's very good. But you can make a pretty long playlist of god-tier pop tracks from The Cure.
