Lol, just listened to Rough Justice from this album and I'm mildly surprised. I expected only The Acacia Strain-style chugs, but much of the song actually sounded like subpar melodic death metal, As Blood Runs Black-style. So it's not like Emmure is all binary.

I'm scared of the guy on the cover, so I'm giving this a 5.0 so he won't beat me down. ;-;

I thought this was so bad the first time I listened to it but then I realized there were some sleeper hits on it. I think this is where they got their style from beyond this point. This band gets alot of shit for arbitrary and stupid reasons and this site is a huge culprit of bandwagon hate. This website HATES deathcore of any kind. I don't think there's a single deathcore band with an album @ 4.0 or higher. And no one is really to blame, as deathcore is quite an aquired taste. The only people I am bothered by are the ones who slam deathcore albums like Justin Beiber. No one deserves that kind of hate, and at some points it's overly done. How many years can you hate one thing? Is it because you prog ponies who started the bandwagon don't like how simplistic music can sometimes sound great? I will never figure it out. This absolutely deserves the 4.0 I gave.

WAIT. NO. IT IS WHAT I SAID. LOL People who don't even listen to more brutal metal genres jump on this band just to hate it. Proof is with the shallow idiots who commented here. Mainly oldheads and people who heard how "bad" this band was and checked them out.

Also many of the people who "hate this band so much" show so much attention to it. Why write so many comments on ALL of a band's work if you hate them so much? Bandwagon, Bandwagon.

Just look at some of the "digging: ..." of earlier comments. (Not JeetJeet or anyone who agrees, but the rest)

Yeah, this band is pretty "bad". Maybe it makes you want to kill yourself. Hopefully it does, because that's metal as fuck.

Prog ponies, oldheads, purists, and elitists UNITE. Together you form Captain Ignorance. Christ.

A lot of this blends together, but I get down on some GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!

Rough Justice stands out as well. Dry Ice is pretty basic, but I like where it falls on here, and I think its pretty neat.

This is definitely a step down from Gallows.... Feels like every time a song is gonna get interesting they go into a breakdown lol

Really like Chicagos Finest though.
