I think the new one will be a grower, much more than this or their debut.



Their sound barely changed at all between their first two albums, but it seems like it's changing more with number three so it could take a while to settle on whether or not we like how they're changing.

Reliquary is the best song. Cobalt Sun is a close second. Such a cool ending.



Basically they went less heavy, more proggy. Not sure if I like that but it's a really great album overall.



Best thing about these guys has always been their riffs and they really put a focus on them (and the vocals) with the new one. But rather than expanding their sound, I think it kinda narrowed it down, which may or may not be a good thing.

Abode of the Perfect Soul is v good too. And yeah, it’s more restrained / less full-on, but because of that the heavy moments stand out more, on initial inspection anyway

new one feels very relentless and at times dense compared to this, which did have lots of breathing room. the heavier moments do stand out more, and feel more commanding.

New one not as good as this but it is pretty good

new alb goes when it goes but lot of boring parts. idk if it had more clean vox than this/asheran bc its been a while since i jammed them in full but they suck and the wimpy drum sound does the alb no favors.

Cleans are better on the new one but I agree about the drum sound, kinda. The production in general is just less…beefy. Trying to focus on the guitars a little too much I think.



Probably gonna end up my least favorite so far but time will tell. Took a while for me to fully absorb this one and now it's my fave.

the cleans basically sound the same to me but will need to revisit. still the worst part about the band. and yeah it's very guitar forward. everything but the snare gets completely drowned out in the heavier moments and even that still feels like it's being hit from a room away
