Chinese Organ Thieves might be Finch's best song. That whole EP is S tier.

Daylight slaps too. Awesome EP, wish it was up on Spotify.

It was on Spotify up until like a year or two ago. The politics on removing great music like that with a relative tiny listener base is over my head. It’s beyond dumb

Saw these guys in Seattle tonight and they were unbelievable. Nate’s vocals honestly might be the best in the game.

If only he could put those great vocals on another kickass Finch album...

They could never come close to this again. I think their legacy has been cemented with this and WIITB. (moreso the latter)
Back to Oblivion was sub par sadly. S/T EP kicks absolute dick tho I'd love more songs like Chinese Organ Thieves

I'll never forget listening to Back To Oblivion and just wondering wtf happened. Honestly one of the most profoundly disappointing albums I've ever heard. Just such a spectacular let down. The only thing that soothed me over it is that World Of Violence demos exist. Not as good as this obviously, but it at least felt like they were still channeling whatever demon was possessing them here. So insane that they never 'finished' that record, those demos were fucking sick

Those new songs slap pretty hard, I'm hoping they stay together long enough to actually put a release out LOL
Really wish they had kept Marc or Drew as their drummer over Pappas though. Dude is absolutely rock solid but so basic / boring sometimes. If you haven't checked out Marc Allen's other band (Helen Earth Band) you should, their first record especially is excellent

I've always liked Pappas a lot. Big fan of his stuff on Perfection Through Silence and especially Project Mayhem.

Yeah this is just one of those bands with one killer release and that's likely the best we'll ever get. That's ok.

Hopeless Host gets totally stuck in my head sometimes, especially the "focus on the fire" part. It's soooooooo catchy to me. Also the constant use of natural harmonics in the riffs is so goddamn unique and uncanny on this record

Agreed, two killer releases.
@art - Hopeless Host gets launched into the stratosphere starting with the "try as I may" line for me.

yeah, like is that not one of the most powerful emotional songs you've ever heard? One thing that makes this album so memorable is it has these certain 'emo freak-out' moments that are so fucking intense
