GUITAR TALK is a musical tour de force of this impressive guitar player, the mastermind behind LEMUR VOICE and SUN CAGED, two of the most amazing prog metal bands that came from HOLLAND ! This guy is a monster technician and on this album there is a true display of his fantastic technical skills, but also some wonderful compositions like MOYRA, one of the most sensitive and beautiful slow songs on instrumental category, guitar driven !The drum machine used is a little annoying , but the sound of it on the remastered digipak edition ismuch better then on the original release !Heavily influenced by John Petrucci and Steve Vai, Coenen proves an amazing strong personality and a damn fine technique, the album is quite diverse and catchy and an ear candy for the most pretentious instrumental albums fan!

The playing is undeniably 4.5/5, but the terribad-quality recording and the drum machine force me to only give a 4. This would rule damn hard if he re-recorded it professionally.
