The Music Box is a progressive alternative band from Florida. Though clearly an alternative band, they bring echoey guitar, fat bass, poignant percussion, excellent dynamics, as well as soulful lyrics and vocals. Their song structures don?t follow the simple verse-chorus-verse structure, instead opting for dramatic buildups and thoughtful interludes. There is no filler here. This is a band whose passion shines through every song. The band has an excellent melodic sound which carries the listener on a journey through the emotional content of each song. The lyrical content concerns love and romance, focusing especially on the turbulent and changing nature of love lost and gained. This is an excellent debut, and listeners should look to see the band live, as well as hope for another album.
