3.5 great | Gary STAFF | May 17th 21 | Crazier album cover = the better type of Impaled Nazarene album. Cool black-tharsh release, which is fortunately more melodic than many of the previous albums. They should finally accept the fact: this is the direction they should follow (the main riff of the title track is so damn good!) Also, I'd like to give some extra bonus points for the sick bass lines and tone, more BM albums need that.

3.5 great | SkapalPes | July 5th 14 | Another portion of crust black by IN comes 4 years after their last LP. It`s great again and unique amongst other black metal bands, but standard in their discography. They seem to be going back to more rough sound (especially compared to 2000-2003 albums), but no big change is heard and they are repeating one thing that takes quality down a little: good beginning and end of the record (but last track is not so exceptional as on some previous, though slower and longer), and not so good in the middle. "Road to the Octagon" was little better I think, anyway, it`s fine to have them back...

3.2 good | Trey STAFF | March 22nd 14 | This is a very clean production by Impaled Nazarene standards. The production lets you hear all the instruments, which is nice. I also hear an undercurrent of keyboards (Were they always used? Maybe I just don't remember). This album is also slightly more melodic than their previous stuff. Other than that, it's business as usual with their brand of black metal. Doesn't hold a candle to their last album, though.
