Review Summary: Burn in hell Kissinger.

Jungle Rot are a sick ass band from Wisconsin, home of America's favorite pastime, alcoholism. They did the whole death metal band plays heavy ass hardcore riffs way before trendy instagram bands like Sanguidobuggabig and Frozen Soul and were much better at it. And they’ve been doing it for like 30 years, but this is the best one (Slaughter the Weak rules too but that’s another review for another day!).

Basically, this album rules. While it is technically a demo, it certainly doesn't sound like it. The production is thick like a Southeast Asian jungle and the drums and riffs are powerful like an AK-47 (god's favorite weapon). In fact, the drumming might be the best part of this even though the riffs are sweet. The snare sounds like a rifle blast which is exactly what you want out of a metal album. It’s also got a cool war theme but not like Bolt Thrower fantasy DnD nerd ***, like actual bad war like Vietnam. The lyrics are kind of just about killing and murder which is standard death metal stuff, which is to say it’s awesome. Honestly, you can never tell with these boomer death metal bands if they’re like “hell yeah war rocks we love killing” or if it’s more nuanced “war is hell this is all the ***ed up *** that happens” but honestly it doesn’t really matter because the lyrics are just *** like “Satan's rotting corpse, smell of brutal death”.

Just jam “Destruction and Misery” and if you don’t like it then just go back to listening to Sleep Token or whatever. Fans of real ball-slapping death metal should jam this ASAP. Thank you for your time and have a great day.
