Zombieland is not a terrible album, but it's nowhere near as good as it should be, coming from such a veteran band. It's got more of a mainstream angle to it than probably ever before, but there's nothing inherently wrong with that - the problem is that the band seems to have forgotten what Lex's and the band's own strengths are, which results in most songs just not working as well as probably intended (see: Für immer). The kind of stuffy and mushy mixing doesn't exactly help to bring anything out in a meaningful way. This is showcased - in the worst possible way - by the new recording of Hurra - Wir leben noch, which seems to have lost all personality and color it used to have nearly two decades ago on Himmelfahrt. Sure, there are a couple of times when it works, like on the huge Himmelsstürmer which successfully manages to marry driving, mechanical rhythms, airy melodies and a big ass chorus with Lex's vocal range. Standout tracks: Himmelsstürmer, Schwarzer Engel
