Metal bands consisting of one multi-instrumentalist are starting to become more and more relevant and the middle-eastern death metal project of Cyaxares (from Iraq) certainly fits the description. The sound is great, the arrangements of Mir Shamal Hama-faraj are as well balanced as his instrumental skills. The above said, the song are merely enjoyable, mostly due to the solid but unremarkable rhythm (less) and lead (more) guitar themes.
