Not many will be aware, but well known Facebook shitposters Drowning Pool are also musicians. Now comes their new album Hellelujah, no memes present but not much else of note either. The band seem content to trudge the same territory over and over, trying to replicate the sound of their breakout album "Sinner", but only die-hard fans are gonna really enjoy this.

Karma can be quite a bitch if one is not cautious enough, but you know what else can easily shape up to become a royal thorn in the side? Going through the motions, which is basically what Drowning Pool are doing on their latest full-length album Hellelujah. Lackluster compositions and not even a pinch of personality, when amalgamated, equal a barrel of monotony that showcases many of the same issues which have plagued a lot (but not necessarily all) of post-grunge acts. Would it seriously kill DP to break free from their comfort zone?

I have nothing but apathy for this album, fill of static generic "heavy" Alt. metal riffs with a
bass missing from the mix, with a terrible singer doing a horrible static-X impression. That is
not going into the worst part of the album the lyrics. This is just edgy bullshit "LeT mE LiVe
WiTh A FuCk To GiVe" that loves to thing suicide and self-harm are so cool to the point where most
of this album glorifies it. Their is also an anti religion-song here that is as well written
as the horrid grammar in the song, and when the album is not going "I love shooting my self,
suicide is hot" drowning pool are throwing in trying to be satanists for extra EDGE. Every single
chorus here is poorly written chocked full of nonsensical edge. This album was an endurance test
to get through, with every minute passing hating this album even more. This album is spit in the
face of everyone who is battling depression and a piss on the grave on everyone who has ever taken
their life. DROWNING POOL, SCREW YOU!!!

Surprisingly, not the worst thing I've ever heard. It's nothing good by any means, as a ton of it is forgettable and not engaging, but it's the definition of average. Nothing is offensive enough to earn my ire but nothing is memorable enough to make me want to return.

Loved the last album, Moreno added some much needed attitude and style but Hellelujah is just weak! 'We Are The Devil' is one of the worst rock songs I've ever heard, its certainly the most annoying!! A couple of tracks worth mentioning are 'My Own Way' and 'All Saints Day'.
