For all those who think that Night Is the New Day is the last, truly magnificent Katatonia album, Thenighttimeproject is an adequate companion, and one that pales in comparison. The atmospheres in Thenighttimeproject's debut are fairly captivating, the vocals are a treat, but more often than not, the arrangements could use a bit more meat; in addition, they feel familiar to the previously mentioned Katatonia album, which is both a good and a... not so good thing.
