Chester beddington is on the top of his game here. Lyric-wise he cuts deep due to the heroin and crack he was
heavily addicted to at the time. Vocal wise he's a lot more centered on a clean style of singing, but occasionally
throws power into his voice which would become a staple in linkin park's debut. The rest of the band conjurs up a
dark backdrop for chester to sing over, but also rock out when the moments right. That said though, even the
production is very early 90s, it adds to the sound rather than demeans it. All of the tunes are insanely catchy,
thus could be describes as dark rock pop (grunge pop?)
A seriously overlooked gem.
