4.5 superb | ajcollins15 | October 29th 20 | Since their breakout sophomore LP in 2018 many people have questioned where the six-man avant-metal band would take their unique combination of black metal and gospel/spiritual music too next. Well on their 2020 EP, they respond to those people with an astounding showing of alternative rock, doom metal, and again their signature black gospel sound. It also has some of the most intense and introspective lyrics the band has put out. Go through the heartache and turmoil of the black lives matter protest and how we as people should push for equality/equity. So many amazing tracks packed into the 17 minutes run time.

3.0 good | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | October 26th 20 | It's apparently more in the height of emotion that this EP was made, because to at least half of the songs here there is no rhyme or reason for them to be anything more than experimental recording session blimps one would expect as a b-side (especially the middle section) dug up years into the future. But "Vigil" and especially t/t are stellar, no qualms about that.

4.0 excellent | RIPGemmy | October 23rd 20 | A few tracks are a bit too on the nose for my liking (looking at Vigil), but aside from that, it's a pretty solid EP. Zeal & Ardor bringing some variety to their style as per usual (At the Seams for instance) while also having some familiar/callback tracks (particularly Tuskegee and Wake of A Nation)
