Review Summary: A Christian pop rock worship band that can have a strong influence on your religious outlook

Hallelujah, brothers and sisters, today is the great day to worship Jesus - as every other. But today is very special as we are blessed with a sacred offering from Pursuing JC that their C.R.O.W.N EP is. In fact it is so sacred that I have reverted my circumcision and gave up judaism to convert to christianity. Now I feel the praise on my lips, and now I am truly ready ready to pursuit Jesus The One and Only, The Holy Father of All and Beyond, The Man of Bethelem, Christ.

But let’s not rush. What we have here is a collective of 10 missionary men born from original sin, but are well on their way to strike the devil down. Such a big band of Christ troopers manage to sound very smoothly, with each instrument being in it’s place. The EP consists of six solid crusading bangers (excluding the Interlude, which is not exactly a song, but still banging) - so let’s dive deep inside and see which songs are we going to listen as our sermon.

Purpose comes first. As it should. An upbeat pop/hiphop gospel that will work equally fine both in your kitchen in the morning or on a huge arena. From the first seconds you realise how much talent, how much god is inside this aspiring collective. It’s a quality hymn for cleaning your soul featuring some classy songwriting and every pop trope imaginable - turning the weapon of devilish music industry against it. Like all the best parts of Blood Brothers but minus their vulgarity.

Next we are ready to stomp the devil, right? Stomping the Devil has that groove, that miasma of an awesome pop rnb like Caligola, swedish school of hitmaking.

There is actually a lot of ABBA going on here, which is highlighted by Revival, that starts with a proggy intro with strings and everything, but suddenly switches to beats worthy of Justin Timberlake and Soft Cell. Revived me good with insane Neil Peart drumming (watered down a bit for the communion).

I am especially happy that Pursuing JC took the name “He Is” back for christian rock from the band of unholy satanists Ghost (which to my shame I have enjoyed BEFORE I knew what they preach).

Interlude takes us to hear the C.R.O.W.N - the closing number on this wonderful ride of holy extravaganza. Modern sound that would make Justin Bieber jealous, punches straight out of not Compton and gang vocals to defy every sinner and heal your sore soul. Christ Rules Our World Now, indeed.

Jesus is the only POPESTAR we need. And Pursuing JC made it very clear that the days of evil are numbered. Hope this EP goes myrrh. Christ rocks hard!

I KEEP PURSUING THE GOAL TO WIN THE PRIZE OF GOD'S HEAVENLY CALLING IN JESUS CHRIST
