2.5 average | j1sh28 | May 16th 23 | I've been listening to TRS since I received a demo CD at Church when I was 11. I've gone through all the hoops of his experimenting and I've always loved it. He's inventive, and always pushing the boundaries with each record release. However, I think he finally went a bit too far. The sounds he uses on this record are unique, and there's lots of ear candy, but the songs get lost in the noise and clutter. Track #5 starts with a great synth hook, but it's slowly drowned away in the experimental clutter. This album feels more like a collection of sounds than an album full of completed and cohesive songs.
