Fame was a short lived Japanese visual kei band that first formed in 1996. After having a major lineup change which involved
the replacement of both the original drummer (Jun) and frontman (Yasu), ex-Drunken Wisdom singer Mahiro stepped up to the
plate in 1997, although a second drummer never officially joined. With this lineup, Fame found instant underground success,
going major by the summer of 1997. Although under the Warner Music label in 1998, Fame didn't have any major success, and
wound up disbanding in early 1999. The final trio of Fame temporarily tried to revive itself, forming under the name of HybriD,
and releasing one demo under this name in late 1999. The trio then released one single in December of 2000, "Fly (Ha+e)",
before disbanding for good in 2001.
