Kegawa no Maries were a Japanese glam rock band that formed in 2003. They were one of the most unique Japanese rock
bands to come out on the mainstream in quite sometime, typically mixing punk, psychedelic and progressive rock, but also
including pop, noise rock and even carnival music. Their fashion and occasionally music style could draw comparisons to the
earlier influential glam/visual band, Scanch, who pretty much split up entirely in 1996, although are known to have occasional
reunion shows. Kegawa no Maries ultimately ended breaking up in 2011, shortly after the release of their sixth album,
appropriately titled "The End".
