Back Off Cupids is the solo project of John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes). In contrast to most of his work, Back Off Cupids plays to a more
relaxed side of the usually frenetic frontman, with elements of post-hardcore, post-punk, and experimental rock. Aside from a few appearances
on compilations, the project has only released one split 7" ("Drunken Fish" w/ Splintered) and one full LP ("Back Off Cupids").
