Fairchild was a Japanese pop rock band, active throughout the late 80's and early 90's. The group was fronted by legendary
Japanese idol You (born Yukiko Ehara), and were one of the breakthrough female-fronted Japanese rock bands, along with
Lindberg and Personz. The group are perhaps best known for doing the song, "Kirai Dayo", which served as the opening song to
the cult classic sketch comedy show Gottsu ee Kanji, hosted by comedic legends, Downtown. The group split in 1993, with You
going on to further solidify herself in the higher ranks of Japanese idols and becoming one of the premiere entertainers in Japan
during most of the 1990's and the 2000's.
