Pugs were a critically acclaimed Japanese avant-garde band, active throughout the 1990's. Their sound combined a surrealisticmixture of traditional
avant-garde, grunge, psychedelic and even some punky styles thrown in. The group seemed to havedissolved around the start of the millennium, but
have toured the US various times during their several years of activity,including having a spot at the Lollapalooza '97 tour.
