Yano is a Filipino alternative rock band from the Philippines. Originally formed in 1993, the group soon became well known fortheir political lyrics, and
for their unique sound, which blended hard rock, folk and punk. In June of 1994, the group released itsself-titled album, which was acclaimed by
numerous music critics around the Philippines. Despite the acclaim, Yano had a verysecretive nature, and aren't known to have had any professional

group ended up disbanding in late1997, due to the departure of frontman Dong Abay. However, in 2013, Yano was resurrected as a solo project of
guitarist EricGancio, and, in 2013, Yano released its fourth full length album, "Tala", its first in almost two decades. « hide |
