08.20.12 | Been digging a lot of 60's psych and blues rock lately. |
ZedO
08.20.12 | Cool list JT, I must check out that # 9 first, jazz fusion album featuring the late Gary Moore on guitar, oh I must hear it :D |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | Thanks bro. Yeah definitely check out 9. I think you'd also really like #1. |
ZedO
08.20.12 | of course I will get that # 1 too, it's super blues lol, but I'm really getting into fusion right now, so Colosseum II is my first priority, and then Mike Bloomfield.. |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | Cool. Btw, just to help prevent any confusion when you come to look for it, that Mike Bloomfield album often comes under Bloomfield, Kooper & Stills as the artist name (it's technically a collaboration album by 3 musicians). |
ZedO
08.20.12 | Oh I see.. |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | I should probably edit it in the database as Bloomfield, Kooper & Stills is the correct artist name for that album. |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | Probably #1. It features a lot of melodic blues guitar playing, particularly the first half of the album. |
ZedO
08.20.12 | agreed, I also found similar case here on Sputnik, for instance; few of Pat Metheny Group albums which are placed under Pat Metheny solo project... |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | Cool, hope you dig it bro. |
JamieTwort
08.20.12 | @Zedo: Yeah it's definitely not the first time I've come across something like this. |
ZedO
08.20.12 | nice link, cap! |

08.20.12 | Yeah man, that track rules. |
Jethro42
08.21.12 | 8 and 10 rule.
Interested in 1, 6 and 9. |

08.21.12 | Nice collection JT.
Interested in 6 and 9.
Thinking about hunting down Gram Parsons stuff too. |
JamieTwort
08.21.12 | @Jethro: I definitely think you'll dig the guitar playing on #1, particularly on the first half. Bloomfield's playing has a lot of feeling and emotion in it, similar to Gary Moore at times. I'm sure you'll like 9 too, there's some excellent drumming on that album as well as Moore's brilliant guitar playing. |
JamieTwort
08.21.12 | Thanks omni. Yeah check out 6 and 9 for sure. 1 is probably right up your street too, especially if you enjoyed Bloomfield's guitar playing on that Electric Flag album. I'm not familiar with Gram Parsons, might check out some of his stuff at some point. |

I personally prefer this era of the band, more psychedelic and bluesy. |
TheNotrap
08.24.12 | Cheers Jethro. Yeah Touch of Grey is catchy stuff indeed. "Terrapin Station" has a cool Beatles felling.
Hey JT. Definitely more psychedelic stuff. Cool songs.
Thanks for the good music mates.
