Top 20 Songs Of 2012

My top 20 favorite songs of 2012.these are in no rparticular order because I rlove to listen to full albums so choosing songs is rso hard for me but here rare the ones I've gravitated the most to this year.
1Amenra
Nowena | 9.10

Amenra is just an awesome band.Though I was late to getting into their music I
find
with each listen to this song and just this whole album in general I get closer
to
really loving this bands music.
2Old Man Gloom
Rats

I love the little ambient intro to this song.It most sounds like a huge beast is
awaking as the song progresses.
3Gaza
This We Celebrate

I loved the whole album but this one really caught my ear and the end guitar
melody sounds so awesome.
4Narrows
It's the Water

Pretty awesome and heavy bass line with the vocals sounding so fierce.
5Burning Love
Made of Apes

I've always thought Chris Colohan's vocals were awesome and Burning Love is no
exception with Chris still sound as pissed off as ever with lyrics talking about
hoe
the christian idea pf adam and eve is stupid.
6The Secret
Agnus Dei

Though not my favorite The Secret record the song opens up the album with what
The Secret does best;Blasting your face off.
7Early Graves
Days grow Cold

I thought the guitar riffs sounded awesome and the drums have never sounded
better with this band.
8Code Orange Kids
Flowermouth (The Leech)

Just everything about this song sounds awesome.Reba and Jami's vocals are
intense, heavy guitars, pounding drums and heavy hard hitting bass.
9Full of Hell
Fox Womb

While I loved Full of Hell's debut album this song just goes to show me how much
better this band is progressing playing wise and the production sounds a lot
clearer
on here.
10Death Grips
The Fever

Yeah, yeah, yeah spare me the criticism.I think this is a great ban and this song
really stuck with me and continues to stick with me.Aggressive, great weird
sounds
and MC Rides vocals sound awesome.
11Planks
An Exorcism of Sorts

Planks are at their best with this record and on this song everything works
great
the riffs on here are awesome.
12Swans
The Seer

A very weird, intense, long, noisy song but works well within the confines of
this
LP.Love Swans!
13Burning Love
Karla

A great song and the lyrics tell a story about a killer kidnapping people and of
course killing and the way Chris Colohan describes the story is pretty awesome
.All the instruments sound great courtesy of Kurt Ballou.
14Evoken
Descent Into Chaotic Dream

A very dense and dark journey. It's almost chilling at times and creates a very
eerie
atmosphere.
15Neurosis
Bleeding The Pigs
16Sis
Pig Destroyer
17Loma Prieta
Fly By Night

Loma Prieta sounds pretty ppissed off here more so then on their previous albums
while still incorporating enough melody to keep things instresting.
18Krallice
IIIIIIIIII

The best song on Years Past Matter where it starts with a very nicely played
guitar
melody then switches into normal Krallice fashion and ends with that same guitar
melody played with more distortion.
19Converge
Sadness Comes Home

Yeah it's not Aimless Arrow but I liked this the most out of the whole album
with
epic guitar leads by Kurt Ballou
20Baroness
Take My Bones Away

Probably one of the most catchy songs I've heard all year.Just a great song
through and through.
