I'm bored so here is a list of digs with reason why you should listen to each. | 1 | | Dismember The God That Never Was
Some seriously good death metal, the vocals are ace and the music is punishing. What I love about this album is that there is some melody in the songs but it is there without sacrificing any of the brutality, a must have for all death metal and melodic death metal fans! | 2 | | Enslaved Eld
This album has probably become my favorite from Enslaved, here they completely mastered their viking metal sound, being epic as ever and deliverying a perfect vocal performance. | 3 | | Drudkh Blood In Our Wells
I just can't stop listening to this album, especially Furrow of Gods, with it's indescribable atmosphere and all of the smaller features such as superb soloing add up to make a landmark modern day black metal album. | 4 | | Katatonia Viva Emptiness
After a bit of time without listening to this album, I finally popped it in again and remembered why I was so addicted in the first place, flawless music here with plenty of energy and emotion. | 5 | | Eluvium Copia
I'm quite fond of ambient, and this is a superb ambient album, it actually keeps me interested and is very relaxing. | 6 | | Darkspace Dark Space II
This band is pretty incredible, with spacy atmospheres and an ambience that is achieved so successfully throught their brand of black metal this is always great to listen to. Highly recommended if you are a Paysage d'Hiver fan, since it is his main band. | 7 | | Doomsword Let Battle Commence
Some serioudsly great doom/viking metal right here. The vocals are fantastic and the combination of doom and viking metal results in a superb album. | 8 | | Forest of Fog Rabenflug
The first demo release by this band is an all instrumental black metal album, and I have to say it rules. There is melody within the songs to keep you interested and plenty of variation. | 9 | | Unleashed Where no Life Dwells
Another swedish death metal gem, this album is seriously kickass, with great vocals and immense riffs, this is one that will surely become a favorite for me in time. | 10 | | Inquisition Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient
As I have said many times in the past this album rules, the vocals are strange but you begin to enjoy them after awhile, but you can't help but appreciate the very well composed black metal. | 11 | | Mayhem Live in Leipzig
Mayhem with Dead as a vocalist = awesome, and this performance is pretty flawles, and unlike Dawn of the Blackhearts doesn't have any real filler tracks. | 12 | | SIG:AR:TYR Sailing the Seas of Fate
For anyone who has not heard this album, you need it right away. You will not hear guitar playing like this in many other places, fantastic lead work backed up by some metal sections at times, and at others it is almost ambient, a unique and epic expierience. | 13 | | Belketre March to the Black Holocaust
This split with Vlad Tepes is probably the best thing to come of the LLN. Raw and hateful it is, without being over the top and ridiculous, the performance from both bands, especially Belketre, are near flawless. | 14 | | Blut Aus Nord Ultima Thulee
The keyboard work in this album is some of the best I have heard in black metal, cold and dark without a normal symphonic black metal sound, also the vocals are pretty awesome. | 15 | | Deathchain Deathrash Assault
Kickass, is the only way to describe this, all energy all the time, but with superb musicianship and vocals. Get this if you want something to kick your ass. | |

12.07.07 | Heavy Rotation of shit I need to hear. Especially, 4,6,7 and 14. | Tyler
12.07.07 | Balls I seriously doubt you'd like 6
And Steve, are you serious with 14? I thought the keyboards were fucking awful, it made it almost impossible to enjoy for me. They sounded like a toy. | Tyler
12.07.07 | And dude Vlad Tepes' side is so much better :( | Angmar
12.07.07 | Haha I could see why you would think that Tyler, but I really like them idk.
And I just like something more about Belketre, probably the vocals idk. Both sides are still really good though. | Angmar
12.07.07 | Also get #1 Balls, you will love it. | Tyler
12.07.07 | 1 is the best melodeath album that nobody will admit is a melodeath album I have ever heard. | BallsToTheWall
12.07.07 | A long time ago, I swear I saw 1 used at fye. Instead I picked up Lucifuge and Isa. Guess i'll drive back down and see if they even have the album new there. | Monticello
12.07.07 | I'm listening to 5 again because of this list. Such a good album. | Crysis
12.07.07 | I must hear 6. | Tyler
12.07.07 | I still need to give II a fair listen, I'd always preferred I. | jrowa001
