JamieTwort
04.25.13 | Cheers, Leb.
@omni: 12 was the first Beardfish album I heard but I don't necessarily recommend it as a start point. I'd suggest listening Mammoth first. |

04.25.13 | Would argue Brand X was straight out Jazz Fusion but yeah, I like most of these |
JamieTwort
04.25.13 | I figured jazz fusion and prog are closely linked enough for it to qualify just this once. |
Atari
04.25.13 | nice list JT. any bands on here you think i would like besides the ones i've already heard? (strawbs, JT, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Rush). |
JamieTwort
04.25.13 | Thanks dude. I can definitely see you digging Horslips as they have some similarities to Tull. You might also like Focus and Cressida. |
Atari
04.25.13 | sweet i will take your word for it and check horslips first ;) |
JamieTwort
04.25.13 | Cool, 15 is definitely the album to start with for them from what I've heard. I need to explore more of their back catalogue

04.25.13 | I jammed "The Advent of Panurge" from Octopus today, the only progging I've done so far. It's been bright and sunny recently, so I've been in a Parliament and Beach Boys kind of mood. |
JamieTwort
04.25.13 | Agreed, Meat.
@Sgt: Cool, I haven't heard that one. It's been really sunny today where I am too actually. |
MeatSalad
04.25.13 | You haven't heard octopus? The gentle giant record? |
SgtPepper
04.25.13 | @Jamie
You haven't heard Gentle Giant yet? I'm surprised, but you would definitely like them. It's prog rock with a touch of english folk and classical styled melodies. The vocals are my favourite aspect of it.

04.25.13 | Damn, I got confused I thought you meant a band called Octopus lol. Yes I've heard Gentle Giant's Octopus. |

04.26.13 | Gentle Giant are great but I've never got into them as much as a lot of other classic prog bands for some reason. In A Glass House is an excellent album though. |
