Why? Bayern have had the most impressive seasons in recent memory. They've broken innumerable domestic records and dismantled a team termed the best club side in history 7-0 on aggregate, in addition to easing 4-0 past a team that went unbeaten in their domestic league (Juve) and has just secured a second consecutive title success.

Yes, we've paid a lot for the stadium. I just don't see Juve capable of spending a lot this summer. Also Serie A level is plunging deep. Hopefully next year we will bring three squads to the CL Groups. The difference, though, is that Europa League is considered a useless trophy.. Some players of various teams (Inter, for example) said this year that EL is a "burden" and they're happy they won't play it next year. |

Surtur
05.11.13 | Yeah, great play there |
chemicalmarriage
05.11.13 | Yeah I like the Cleveland Browns |
jefflebowski
05.11.13 | it baffles me how wigan can lose against swansea reserves at home and then suddenly be equaling man
city at wembley |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Yeah, Wigan are probably the most confusing team in England... |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | They play great football when they want to. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | "Yeah, Wigan are probably the most confusing team in England..."
Nah, they're second to Newcastle |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | Pardew has ruined and saved that club at the same time. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | Man C down to 10. That should've been a straight red anyway |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | Would be brilliant if Wigan win it from here. They deserve it |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | That tackle was wild. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | You could tell it was gonna be a sending off from the moment he went into it. Even he knew it. |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | Just stayed on the floor haha. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | wow |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | I was just about to say Wigan were robbed of a penalty |
Surtur
05.11.13 | I love you Ben Watson, you ginger twat |

05.11.13 | wigan yessssss hahaha |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | Brilliant. Well deserved. |

05.11.13 | (gonna get so much shit) but my teams are Barcelona and Bayern Munich. I also like Tottenham.
But "my team" is obviously the Vancouver Whitecaps. wooooo MLS! |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | "(gonna get so much shit) but my teams are Barcelona and Bayern Munich. I also like Tottenham. "

Surtur
05.11.13 | Hahahahaha I wonder why? |
treeqt.
05.11.13 | lol euball disgust me |
Shuyin
05.11.13 | im a fan of FC Porto, we're playing with Benfica today and whoever wins will prolly end up being
champion
|
Artuma
05.11.13 | go Wigan! this is incredible |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | wow what happened there, city???
well my faves are:
St. Pauli (Germany)
Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany)
El Nacional (Ecuador)
Rea Betis (Spain)
@ trebor using our hands when playing football? does that makes sense?? well nevertheless I love NFL and I will still go for the Packers.. despite their ridiculous underachieving last year. |
Surtur
05.11.13 | St. Pauli! Nice one! I've just remembered how good the Crystal Palace youth set-up is. They always produce class players. |
InfamousGrouse
05.11.13 | curious selection of teams, Donchivo |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | ya you know st.pauli. Gonna be in the stadum tomorrow to saving them from relegation by screaming like David Vincent... what an atrociously bad campaiggn this has been... |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | I went to Ecuador last year. Amazing country |
InfamousGrouse
05.11.13 | St. Pauli are fighting relegation? Damn, I was hoping to have them back in 1. Bundesliga soon, great support base, always good to see. |
Aids
05.11.13 | "dude"
oui?
I'm not from Europe so I get to pick whichever teams I damn well want to support. And I also have good reasons for liking both those clubs, I'm not just a bandwagon fan.
oh ps I forgot: I also like Everton because fuck Liverpool as hard as it is physically possible for something to be fucked. |
Surtur
05.11.13 | I haven't followed them as much recently, but I remember when they were in the third division and got
to the bundesliga after a few years. Gussing that won't be happening again for a while then. Good
luck! |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | dude |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Fair enough for Everton. I wonder how they'll do without Moyes though. |
ZombieParty
05.11.13 | Can't believe Wigan just won the FA Cup lol |
Artuma
05.11.13 | Moyes is probably the best option to replace sir Alex, on the other hand i don't believe Everton will finish top 10 next season |
Aids
05.11.13 | fish what is going on? are you "dude" ing me because you support Arsenal and I like Tottenham?
and no fucking way, did City actually lose? haahahahaha amazing. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | nah just supporting barcelona and bayern munich is a little fishy |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | well doesnt look like they would actually... atrocious management, sending away all experienced players for young inexperienced players on loan!
@shuyin: Will you still root for benfica in Euroleague, they got an awesome squad
@ fish: yeah wonderful country, lived there for 2 years and fell in love with ecuadorean football straight away... fucking craziness there in the stadiums!
|
Surtur
05.11.13 | As long as Liverpool are a place below them, I won't mind. But yeah, I can't see them doing as well seeing as Moyes will probably buy Baines and Fellaini. |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | G'wannnn Wigan! |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | "@ fish: yeah wonderful country, lived there for 2 years and fell in love with ecuadorean football straight away... fucking craziness there in the stadiums!"
we played against the locals, who were playing barefoot, and they beat us 6-1... |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | only started caring for Man united when they bought Valencia, my old hero when he was the star for El nacional in Ecuador at age of 16 |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | Fuck Utd, sorry. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | There was a kid with a Man U shirt going "Man U! Man U! Valencia!" |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Utd is my family's 2nd team, but mine is AFC Wimbledon haha |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | Why were you living in Ecuador, Donchivo? |
Artuma
05.11.13 | Utd > City |
JAV
05.11.13 | Always depends who's playing but Chelsea, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Dortmund but I will sit and watch any game if it's good |
BigPleb
05.11.13 | Neither of them, both horrible manc cunts. |
Artuma
05.11.13 | not a fan of them either but if i had to choose i would go with Utd |
Surtur
05.11.13 | I'm not too keen on either, but I'd go for Utd as well, but the end of last season made me proud to be a football fan, simply amazing. |
Aids
05.11.13 | "nah just supporting barcelona and bayern munich is a little fishy"
yeah I know it looks that way, but like I said, I'm not a bandwagon-er. Bayern's youth team used to train in Victoria every other summer and I would go watch them train as a 7-year old, I've liked them since then. And I fell in love with Ronaldinho during the 2002 World Cup, first one I cared about, and became an instant fan immediately. So, I started watching Barca games and I was hooked. they play such beautiful football, it's like a drug watching their matches. I mean, how could you not support them with how they play? (rhetorical question, please don't answer that).
I know it seems like I'm just supporting the two flashiest teams in Europe like some glory-obsessed bandwagonner, but I've liked them both for a long time. |
NapalmCrusader
05.11.13 | Utd >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> City. Sorry if you are fans of that club |
jefflebowski
05.11.13 | can we please get back to how amazing wigan are? |
NapalmCrusader
05.11.13 | By the way If you complain about the staduims and the football of Italy you haven't been in Colombia, the football of my hometown sadly sucks dick. |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Well, they definitely deserve to stay up. I like them, they play good football for a team that are always threatened with relegation. |
jefflebowski
05.11.13 | i know, the problem for me this season is that almost all of the relegation threatened teams bar norwich are ones i'd like to stay up - sunderland have the always-entertaining di canio, aston villa have a great young team, newcastle are far too good to go down, and wigan are just all-round likeable.
such a shame stoke are staying up |
NapalmCrusader
05.11.13 | I was in the match where rodallega save wigan of the relegation, that was a good day |
jefflebowski
05.11.13 | martinez didn't even have to use his AK |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | such a shame stoke are staying up [2]
thing is I kinda need wigan to lose on monday even though I'd like them to stay up
"I mean, how could you not support them with how they play? "
They say Arsenal are England's Barcelona yknow |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Except Barcelona actually win trophies haha yeah I do like most of the relegation threatened teams, but I hate Pardew so Newcastle would be who I want to go down. Paul Lambert will improve with Villa, he has a very talented young team and he is a good, young manager. |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | @ Fish: I was doing some development cooperation... what broght you there? yeah they adore Valencia, one of the few players they ever had...
|
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | I was just a one month expedition. Actually I'd love to go and live in places in South America for a
couple of years at a time. Hopefully I'll be able to find something I can do that with. |
Adabelle
05.11.13 | "Utd is my family's 2nd team, but mine is AFC Wimbledon haha"
Wow you must live really close to me haha |
Artuma
05.11.13 | such a shame stoke are staying up [3]
they are the cancer of Premier League
Wigan should stay and Newcastle get relegated, it would be funny |
jefflebowski
05.11.13 | i bet newcastle are glad pardew signed that 8-year contract |
Aids
05.11.13 | "They say Arsenal are England's Barcelona yknow"
lolllll get real, who says that? I agree that they've got a beautiful style of play and are good to watch, but wake me up when they win something. |
Surtur
05.11.13 | @Adabelle I live in South London, Croydon area.
Haha I just don't like Pardew at all, so overrated. |
Adabelle
05.11.13 | Rough ahaha messing. No but seriously, you, me and FIsh live well close to each other |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Luckily I live in the good part, away from all the chavs haha |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | Croydon's a shit hole. I live on Croydon road, but luckily not in Croydon
"lolllll get real, who says that? I agree that they've got a beautiful style of play and are good to watch, but wake me up when they win something."
So you do only care about victory? ;)
People generally say they have similar styles of football |
Surtur
05.11.13 | Yeah, Croydon is shit, but it's home, for me at least... I live in Purley, which is nice enough. |
Aids
05.11.13 | yeah I know they have similar styles, it's just kind of a stretch to call them "the Barcelona of England" when they can't even win the league. and I never implied I only cared about victory. I support the Vancouver Whitecaps. |
Jesuslaves
05.11.13 | saw thread, was excited
opened thread, was disappointed |

05.11.13 | Who plays in a club here? Just curious.
Been playing for 14 years now, since I was seven or eight. |
anarchistfish
05.11.13 | "opened thread, was disappointed"
embrace our sport |
Surtur
05.11.13 | I wish I did, but I've never bothered joining one. My school didn't let me play because my tackling was too aggressive... dicks. |

05.11.13 | Hate sports |
Shuyin
05.11.13 | 'Will you still root for benfica in Euroleague, they got an awesome squad'
i hate that team, they have their own TV channel in which some fanatic supporters insult Porto daily. they even celebrated the championship before actually winning it 2 weeks ago, Porto won the game with a goal in the last 2 minutes and now they're at second place, serves them right.. as for the euroleague, i hope Chelsea rapes them hard |
Donchivo
05.11.13 | hehe like that attitude, too many people forget about club team rivalries when teams from their country are playing, fuck that! i 'd never root for bayern or hamburger SV, Rostock, VfB Stuttgart or a bunch of other german temas. And for sure not for Liga or bSC in Ecuador...
Still I like how benifca plays and would like to see them win
btw. i'll be in Porto in two weeks for two days.. do you have any suggestions what to see? already checked, there is no match at dragao... |
Shuyin
05.11.13 | sure, theres plenty of awesome places around here
the downtown area (baixa do porto)
the areas near the river, sightseeing (ribeira, marginal, meia laranja)
boavista
torre dos clérigos, you can see the whole city if you climb this tower
cordoaria
and by all means check out dragao, even if theres no match, the stadium itself is awesome
you got allot of great places to go at night too, have hard club near ribeira, they have some really sick shows and theres variety too: metal, electronica, hip hop, etc..
in cordoaria you got allot of bars open, try going there friday night, its gonna be full of babes |
Donchivo
05.12.13 | Thanks Mate! Much appreciated, looking forward to it as I heard a lot of good things about that city! gonna try that hard club out I think.. |
Dreamflight
05.12.13 | "i hate that team, they have their own TV channel in which some fanatic supporters insult Porto daily"
Now you're being unfair, that tv channel has made more for our national comedy than anything else. :D |
Chrisjon89
05.12.13 | i'm kinda a neutral fan now and don't follow it as closely as i have over the past 4 or 5 seasons. |
