My dream Guitar gear. I have pretty Crappy stuff, besides my guitar. I
currently use a Line 6 POD XT Live running into a Boss GT-3. I get some
great sounds out of it. Great reverbs, delays, and weird stuff. But all the
distortions, fuzzes, and overdrives are trash. I've spent endless hours
tweaking and EQ'ing, but they are just bad. | 1 | | As Cities Burn Come Now Sleep
Guitar - Fender Thinline Telecaster Jim Adkins Edition. It's light, sounds great, looks
great, has P90's, just a great guitar. Glad I already have this. Now I just need
everything else on the list. | 2 | | Weezer Pinkerton
Dream Amp - Not really sure. Just something with really nice cleans. Maybe a
Matchless Clubman with the Reverb | 3 | | Pink Floyd Animals
Distortion/Fuzz/Overdrive Pedals - Big Muff and probably something simple like a
Fulltone OCD. I don't use distortion or overdrive much so I don't know much about
them. But I love fuzz, and I love the Big Muff | 4 | | Minus The Bear Planet of Ice
Delay Pedals - Line 6 DL4, Line 6 Echo Park, Strymon Timeline | 5 | | Friendly Fires Pala
Reverb Pedals - Eventide Space, Strymon Bluesky | 6 | | The Mars Volta Frances The Mute
Pitch Shifter - POG, maybe a Morpheus. | 7 | | From Indian Lakes Able Bodies
Modulation Pedals - I guess a Line 6 MM4? | 8 | | Wilco Sky Blue Sky
Volume Pedal - I guess two Boss FV-500's. I like to have one at the beginning of the
chain and at the end. That way I have the option of cutting out sound with or
without a reverb/delay tail | 9 | | My Bloody Valentine Loveless
Misc. Pedals - Mad Professor Golden Cello (a delay and overdrive in one), Walrus Audio
Janus Fuzz/Tremolo (really strange pedal, has these two joystick things to control the
effects), EarthQuaker Devices Hoof Reaper Octave Fuzz Spectacular (has two
different fuzzes and an octave. what?) | 10 | | Rustie Glass Swords
Not exactly guitar equipment, but I would also love to have a Microkorg XL. I love
running keyboards/synths through my pedal board and making weird sounds. | |

07.16.13 | Oh and some sort of looper | ZombicidalMan
07.16.13 | I'm looking into the Ditto looper right now, even though it's so small I don't have room on my pedalboard... if you like Muff fuzz I can recommend the Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi combo. One pedal with a great fuzz and a decent OD. The fuzz side does classic muff tones, but it also has a volt control. So you can cut the amount of power the fuzz is giving you, gives it a "dying mosquito" fuzz tone on the lowest setting. At about half or less it sounds like Black Keys - i.e. Russian muff.
Also before you get any other gear, get a good tube amp. No point having boutique pedals and a great guitar if you can't play it through something that sounds good. | wacknizzle
07.16.13 | Fender Twin Reverb is the amp you want. Thing got the best cleans, seriously. | NationalRadio
07.16.13 | Right now I'm using a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It's not bad. But it just feels like there's something
terribly wrong with it. I've had it "repaired". But the bass is bone rattling. Even all the way down.
No effects, just straight up guitar signal, and its super muddy and super bass-y. No matter what I do.
I have to do an ass load of EQ to make it sound decent. | NationalRadio
07.16.13 | And yeah I'm looking at getting a Twin | ZombicidalMan
07.16.13 | I have a Tiny Terror, but I'm looking into getting a Deluxe Reverb. Or something similar. | XingKing
07.16.13 | You have good taste! |
