| Weird 90s Post-hardcore
Just post-hardcore-ish stuff that sounds weird and different. Most of its pretty good smoking music BTW. Rec me anything similar, especially if has weird instrumentals. | 1 | | Hoover The Lurid Traversal of Route 7
Please, if you've never heard this album, LISTEN TO IT! This is some great stuff here. Awesome guitars and very weird riffs, interesting vocals, and overall great compositions with awesome build-ups. I totally recommend this album to anyone that likes hardcore, screamo, post-hardcore, math rock, or anything like that. | 2 | | Slint Spiderland
Is this Post-Hardcore? Maybe, maybe not; either way I feel it belongs on this list. I also have to say, this album is just completely packed with emotion | 3 | | Indian Summer Science 1994
What can I say about this album? It needs to be heard to be understood. Its so unique and interesting, but its also definitely an acquired taste. | 4 | | Maximillian Colby Discography
Really interesting riffs to bang your head to. Why can't modern hardcore bands start writing more riffs like these and less twinklecore stuff? | 5 | | Universal Order of Armageddon Universal Order of Armageddon
Great Vocals, intense delivery, raw sound. | 6 | | Native Nod Today Puberty, Tomorrow the World
You gotta love the album title. The music is pretty good too. | 7 | | Julia [USA] Julia
Really interesting use of sounds effects and stuff. This album is filled with rather catchy guitar riffs, but it still somehow sounds raw and intense. | 8 | | Navio Forge As We Quietly Burn A Hole Into... | 9 | | Antioch Arrow In Love with Jetts/The Lady Is a Cat
If you can get passed the absolutely terrible production on this album, it really does feature some pretty good music. | |

05.13.14 | Navio Forge! Probably my favourite emo record of all-time. It's like dipping your toe into a mighty maelstrom.
Slint, is generally associated with the 'post-rock' movement, but they definitely inspired a few post-hardcore and emo groups (Like Indian Summer, for example).
Good stuff, sir!
