07.10.16 | Personally leaning towards Colorado more right now, but give me suggestions and tell me what's great about living where you guys are. |
FullOfSounds
07.10.16 | Pennsylvania, great mountains, awesome summers and not too bad winters |
FullOfSounds
07.10.16 | Also 5 is great |
Snide
07.10.16 | Does it get too hot during the summers?
I live by the beach here in CA and it still reaches over 100 degrees and I just can't stand that. Also I love 5, especially his clean vocals on it. |
MuhNamesTyler
07.10.16 | Well if you don't like heat def don't come to the southeast (satan's asshole) |
MistaCrave
07.10.16 | I'm from New Hampshire, and as a person who also loves the cold, I can say that NH is ideal for people like us. It's seldom gotten above 60 degrees here in the past few days. Also, we get a good deal of rain, so dryness isn't something you'd have to worry about. It's a very rural state with some breathtaking mountains in the Northern region (The White Mountains, home to Mount Washington) and a great area of coast in the Southern region. Seriously though, the nature here is beautiful, especially in the fall when the leaves start to change. Overall it's an incredibly ecologically diverse area, and from everything you said about yourself I think you'd like it here. Oh and also, the economy here would be the 3rd strongest of any country in the world if NH were its own country, so that's a plus |
Snide
07.10.16 | @Tyler: Where are you from?
@Angry: Is Oregon really that bad in terms of jobs?
@Mista: New Hampshire sounds lovely, and the economy is that good? How expensive is it to live there? |
Deathconscious
07.10.16 | anywhere but Minnesota. |
Snide
07.10.16 | @Adolf: Trust me, I have no plans to move to Minnesota. I've heard incredibly bad things about that place. |
AlexKzillion
07.10.16 | I'm from Maryland. Since it's close to DC it's pretty high cost living, but jobs pay pretty well in turn. Fall/Winter take up about 3/4 of the year, Spring is literally like a week, and Summer is hot affffffffff especially because of the humidity. Also plenty of beaches on the east coast if you want those Cali tb's. Also (like Cali I'm sure) a lot of bands come through the DMV, so if your into going to a lot of shows then MD is pretty good for that. |
DominionMM1
07.10.16 | knew before I even read this that colorado was a frontrunner; everyone's bailing on california and moving here. sucks. |
Snake.
07.10.16 | the pacific northwest definitely sounds like the best (and probably only) option
i would recommend coastal new york or new jersey but it's wayyyyyyyyyy too expensive |
AlexKzillion
07.10.16 | Those damn Broncos amirite |
Snide
07.10.16 | @Angry: I'm doing a bit of research and yeah, it seems like Oregon has some economic problems outside of the big cities.
@Alex: Yeah the super hot summers would be my undoing honestly.
@Dominion: You live in Colorado? If I was to move there, I'd probably move to Montrose.
@Snake: New York I can't stand man, I went there to visit my sister at her college once and it was a nightmare. |
DominionMM1
07.10.16 | damn dude montrose? why? |
TVC15
07.10.16 | San Fran is a great city if you know the right places and if the crazy streets aren't too intimidating; half of my life has been spent living there |
Snide
07.10.16 | @Dominion: It just seems like a cool town for me, was thinking about attempting to get a job with the forestry. Would you have any other suggestions?
@TVC: I've been to San Fran a fair few times to visit friends and such, it's way too packed for my liking though. |
MistaCrave
07.10.16 | Yes, the economy here is amazing. It depends tbh, I'd say that just in general living here is definitely a bit more expensive than anywhere else in the country, but not by all that much. Last model I saw gave the price of living in NH on average to be 117 points, with the national average being 100 |
iloveyouall
07.10.16 | go to Colorado, smok weed |
MistaCrave
07.10.16 | that's gonna be legalized in NH pretty soon so don't worry bout dat ;) |
MuhNamesTyler
07.10.16 | I stay in Charleston, SC rn. I like it the most out of where I have lived in the south with New Orleans being a close 2nd cause there is lots of shit to do but they are both soooo fucking hot and humid goddamn |
DominionMM1
07.10.16 | "was thinking about attempting to get a job with the forestry. Would you have any other suggestions?"
well if you can get a gig doing something outdoors southwest colorado wouldn't be the worst. but if you're working a regular ass job the plateau isn't a great place. |
climactic
07.10.16 | north jersey: pros: 15 minutes from nyc, driving distance from boston/NE/philly, hiking/skiing in upstate NY, beaches, vermont, unmatched pizza and bagels
cons: everything else |
Snake.
07.10.16 | "driving distance from boston/NE"
lol no
"unmatched pizza and bagels"
lol fuck no |
climactic
07.10.16 | um....yes? im 3,3.5 hrs from boston tops, did it last summer |

MyNameIsPencil
07.10.16 | i live in Illinois. Don't. It sucks here. bad summers AND bad winters.
I personally kind of want to move to the Minneapolis area, but that's just me.
Oregon/Washington sounds nice but I've also heard they're ridiculously expensive |
RogueNine
07.10.16 | Great Lakes region. Very nice countryside with a good balance between rural areas and population centers. If you like the cold, you'll like their extended winters but sometimes that means a lot of snow. |
FullOfSounds
07.10.16 | In PA, the temp rarely rises into the 90's in the summer |
Snide
07.11.16 | So I have a few new choices to think about now, New Hampshire, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and a few others to add onto Colorado.
Edit: Futures, I'm deleting your comments because you post the same "joke" comments on every thread, and I don't feel like cleaning out a ton of spam from you. It gets boring after a while dude, most of the site moved on from pointlessly spamming my threads, why don't you? |

07.11.16 | If you like cold, living in Canada will make you hate it real quick. |

07.11.16 | lol, Futures, just contribute to the thread
But yeah, PA weather is pretty balanced |

07.11.16 | wait.......why not just move to norcal?? |

07.11.16 | california is objectively the best state so i dont know why youre so eager to leave. isnt everything sanfran and above pretty temperate/chilly?

07.11.16 | most likely its gonna be LA. the talent agency i'm potentially going to work for has offices in NY and LA and im trying to get the fuck off the east coast. been wanting to move out there since high school. rent will be fun though |
porcupinetheater
07.11.16 | I say you stop and think if this is what you really want, see if you'll be able to survive outside. A really easy shortcut to figuring it: Pop a 90s Chili Peppers album in the boombox and see if your skin begins to cling to the speakers as if magnetic. If your skin conforms to its normal anatomical state, you're good to go.
Not a natural Californian. |
sempiturtle
07.11.16 | Go to Canada man everyone's so nice up there. |
Snide
07.11.16 | @climactic: California isn't really that good dude, far from objectively the best. Everything is terribly managed, the weather is terrible (although I've always hated temperatures above 70 degrees and I love rain, fog, snow, etc), 90% of the people here are backstabbing liars, half of the country is dirty, honestly I can't stand California. NorCal is a bit better in terms of climate, but the people there aren't much better. Also it's way too damn expensive, my rent is 1700 a month. |
Muisc4Life26
07.11.16 | I would say Oregon or Washington! |
Drifter
07.11.16 | @BlackMalachite Ey man, don't hate on NorCal, but I've gotta agree with you on the rather dreary weather, much more enjoyable than squinting all day |
minty901
07.11.16 | 3 is awesome. Especially their demo album with the difficult name. |

07.11.16 | lol if you think ppl in california suck trying living in jersey |
