[Death'n'roll-amalgamation of all the succesful metal genres. Ever] 3.5/5
Or as our dear Willie put it: "This is like At the Gates combined with the technical chaos of Atheist combined with the quirky rhythmic experimentation and heaviness of Meshuggah without all the repetition. Yeah, it's pretty good"
[Drone/ambient/electronic] 3.5/5
Not nearly as good as his other effort from this year but still a cool piece consisting of field recordings and all kinds of sound manipulation.
[Grime/trap] 3.5/5
Like this more than I like the genre itself. That might tell you something, or nah. Worht checking if you're into the Brittish kind.
[Tech death] 3/5
Would've been super into this a couple of years back not so much anymore tho. But these dudes are the nicest there is so hey if tech death is your thing. Shoot!
Great list man. I still have to listen to nearly all the essential from this year, so not sure how many of these I'll get to, but great list nonetheless.
i have most definitely have missed some of these (and/or a lot of other things). Still gotta check 48 and 34. 20 looks cool
and honestly dude, if you can do it now, finish your studies/schoolwork. I said fuck it and did some shit i have due not for another 2 weeks and it feels amazing to not have to worry about it.
Shit son, this looks amazing. I've only checked that SUMA album too (I'm checking Ulcerate this evening) so I am gonna assault this list for all it's worth.
@doofus. Nah the first four tracks or so are real good but it could've been a little shorter. To be fair I haven't jammed it in a while. Should probaby do it again today.
@Johnny. Seems fair. Found a dl and figured it was out.
@sowing. Will check, thanks for the rec.
@art. Took a couple of spins to sink in. Not as good Blazing but still a worthwhile listen as it's quite similar
