11.07.16 | I still really need to watch Whisper of the Heart. That's one that fell through the cracks for me |
Sinternet
11.07.16 | it's so human and satisfying, it's their best slice-of-life film by a mile, abosulutely nails the characters without being condescending to their ages. such a shame that the director died shortly after, i feel he could have done many more amazing films |
heyadam
11.07.16 | I'll make it a priority to watch it. Also, what are your guys' favorite moments from the movies? |
24gadjet
11.07.16 | seeing the forest god for the first time in mononoke is up there, seeing Haku be a badass mf dragon is also up there, the opening sequence to nausicaa is also fantastic. Oh and the umbrella scene from Totoro as cliche teen girl as it is |
dbizzles
11.07.16 | There is a surprising amount of Ghibli movies I haven't seen. Howl's Moving Castle is probably my favorite though. |
heyadam
11.07.16 | For me it's definitely the running scene in Kaguya, Chihiro and No Face taking the train on the water, Ponyo chasing after Sasuke while running on the waves, definitely the umbrella scene in Totoro as well, Kiki seeing the new city for the first time, and I love the scene in Mononoke where the wolves attack the supply party in the rain. |
heyadam
11.07.16 | Great flick. I love reading about how much that movie meant to Miyazaki. |
SteakByrnes
11.07.16 | Howl's Moving Castle is easily my favorite of the Ghibli films |

11.07.16 | One of my fave tele experiences was seeing Laputa in about '87. Fuck knows what it was doing on the tele but it was and me and my brother were transfixed, it stays with me to this day. I think it might be one of the first times I ever had me mind blown.
Watched it again a few years ago and it's still quality. |
DoofusWainwright

11.08.16 | Princess Mononoke, the only time I've been crying alone on an empty cinema. Picture that. Chihiro is pure magic. Totoro is a classic. Howl's Moving Castle is fantastic. |
heyadam
11.15.16 | Just watched Whisper of the Heart finally. Great flick. My favorite thing about Ghibli is their attention to detail -- so insane. The tiniest details add so much richness to their stories. |
Flugmorph
