03.09.17 | alright, in no particular order -
go to chickie wah wah.. it's a great music bar, one of the oldest in town, and every once in a while, you bump into dr. john there apparently.. it's on canal street..
if you want creepy abandoned places, go to the lower ninth ward.. it's still ruined by katrina and they have done little to no reconstruction there..
also for creepy shit - one eyed jacks, which is another music bar has ghost stories from the great depression era.. if you ask, someone will take you around and point at corners.. hahaha
if you want local music that isn't jazz and blues, Siberia on St. Claude's has punk and hardcore shows almost every weekend.. and the food's great..
unless you take a weird-ass detour, you'll go down through the edge of mississippi - maybe pensacola beach? it's really pretty and there are casinos everywhere.. hahaha

03.09.17 | There's always Preservation Hall if you can manage to get in
And Frenchmen Street Art Show. Cool lil place composed entirely of DIY artists with interesting concepts |

03.09.17 | I'm from Lafayette which is about 2 hours away from there
went there a couple of times last year, I'm not exactly an expert on the place but just go to the French Quarter and you won't have to look very long to find something to do
It's good that you're not going during Mardi Gras cos you can hardly move around that time over there |

We're doing the typical stuff and some of the stuff in these comments, but I'm also looking for abandoned/creepy places to explore cause it's fun
no one knows if the Six flags is easyish to get into? or even still possible to?

03.09.17 | Skully'z & Mushroom Records are both worth checkin out
Skully'z in particular is relatively small but surprisingly potent as far as content
assuming since yer on sputnik you have at least a passing interest in record-buying & whatnot |
