Your commitment to finding new music is wild! I don't know how you do it haha. The amount of albums I've never even heard of on here is crazy to me, but I love everything I have heard. Have a list of recs from you that I'm planning on catching up on over the holidays.
Also lol @Canadiana Punk
Thanks DM.
20% of this list are Australian artists, I generally dig deeper into my own scene.
Also I have seen over 50% of the artists on this list, live at some stage this decade.
Yeah, Grad Life, is an album you need to listen to front to back, and a couple of times to get really into it. I like it a lot better than Bart's other band, mom jeans.
Yeah, I never really got into them either.
The Flatliners on the other hand? I love how their musical style has evolved through their discography. They have gone from ska, skacore, to hardcore, to melodic punk, to pop punk, to alt rock/indie rock. Their singer Chris Cresswell has an awesome voice, his solo stuff is really good too.
Got some listening to do @tectactoe, as u can see, I don't branch out enough.
@Doof, read the disclaimer. In all fairness, half of the top 20 looks like a sputcore kinda list. I have stories how I discovered each of those bands though, and none were from Sput. I think the only band on this list that were rec'd to me via this site, was Snowing.
Nice things Pots could say:
You are Canadian, there are 3 Canadian albums in my top 20.
You ranked Leftover Crack's Mediocre Generica a 5, but never ranked their latest album. Get on it!
You Ranked Hop Along- Get Disowned 4.5
You ranked Holy Vacants as a 4
Kishi Bashi 3.5
Against Me! 3.5
The National 3.5
Tune Yards 3.5
I saw you gave Jen Buxton a 4.0, She almost made it on here, I forgot about that album, will add as a 101
Never Hungover again, is my second favorite of theirs, and almost made this list. But i prefer the s/t album as it is just so fun and catchy. The album is over before it starts, and begs you to repeat it. Also those songs are excellent live.
