@onion, I can agree about "anniversary." It's got enough of a haunting vibe to really stick with the listener. That record, in general, is such a snooze for me. Probably my least favorite Deftones.

03.17.21 | Openers are probably much harder for just the ones listed. I think for me, it might be Diamond Eyes, but Swerve City, Hole In the Earth, My Own Summer, and even Bored are all contenders in my eyes.
I also really like Mini-Maggot, for exactly the reason OP stated--it works with Pink Maggit as bookends for the album. The description is always how I saw it, too--Mini-Maggit is the apathetic front kids put up, and Pink Maggit is the soul laid bare. I know the band hates it, but I really like it. |
