1Earthless
Night Parade of One Hundred Demons

New year, new list. February's gonna be STACKED, a great start for this year.

Absolutely fantastic album as always - well, almost. 2018's Black Heaven was good, but the thing I love about this band is how each song takes you on a 20 minutes adventure of epic proportions, while still ultimately feeling like it's just 3 dudes in a room jamming together, having fun. Black Heaven was great on its own, but it was not it. This album however brings back everyhthing I love about Earthless - and I'm delighted to go on these new adventures after such a long time.
2Amorphis
Halo

Another great album from Amorphis.
3Slash
4

This one's pretty disappointing... I never hide my love for this band, and I truly think Slash and Myles Kennedy is a match made in heaven. Sadly, this one feels mostly anemic, formulaic and uninspired. It doesn't have that kick that made me love their previous albums together. It's just not very fun. And having fun is pretty much the only thing I expect from a Slash album.
4Nightrage
Abyss Rising

It's another Nightrage album - there's nothing complex, deep or innovating here, just a fun, fast, ass-kicking Melodic Death metal album. Love it, really fun time.
5Crowbar
Zero And Below

It's nice, but pretty unmemorable.
6Alestorm
Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum

Very pleasently surprised - I feel like this is their best album in years. It features a bit more of the serious and epic songs, which I prefer over the fun and goofy ones (though I still love them of course). Great balance between the two styles! Loved it!
7Allegaeon
Damnum

Liked it a lot. Great album, great band.
8Sabaton
The War To End All Wars

I don't really have a problem with bands like Sabaton, where every albums sounds the same, but the reality with those bands is that some albums will inherently be better than others. Sadly, this one's on the weaker side. There's nothing to hate here, it's a Sabaton album after all - but this one's pretty generic and not very interesting or memorable.
9Ozzy Osbourne
Patient Number 9

Ozzy return with another album, and once again I am pleasantly surprised - this is a better album than what you'd expect a 73 year old man's album to be. The man truly is a workaholic. Anyway, this is a good album, and while I liked his previous album better, it's still a great fun.
When I reviewed his last album Ordinary Man, I said that I hope it's his last, since he deserves a rest. And while I still think think he deserves a rest, I'd like to retract the first part. By now it seems like he's going to create new music until his last day on earth, so I wish for him to live a lot more years and make a lot more albums.
10Blind Guardian
The God Machine

I wouldn't say this is the most memorable album, but it's pretty good nonetheless.
11Kreator
Hate Über Alles

I like Kreator's style since Violent Revolution, so it's not a bad time, but it's not very memorable and it's probably not the first one I'll come back to.
12Aeternam
Heir of the Rising Sun

Phenomenal album. The last two albums were sadly relatively weak (emphesize on "relatively" - they're still great albums) so it's really amazing to see them live to the promise we saw 10 years ago in "Moongod". Love this band, and this could actually be their best album.
13Alter Bridge
Pawns and Kings

This album is pretty much the same as every other one, so my criticism is also the same. Great band, great album, but it's a real shame there's nothing new, interesting or noteworthy here. It's the same album they re-release every 3 years since 2007's Blackbird.
This album's a bit on the heavier side, and I like it more than some of the other ones, but there's nothing major here that makes it unique.
14The Halo Effect
Days of the Lost

A fun Melodic Death metal album.
