What I’ve been listening to
Don't know how this selection came together, but here we are. |
1 | | Queensryche Operation: Mindcrime
One of the greatest records I’ve ever heard. Engaging story, stellar musicianship, and no filler to be found. To be bad that the sequel is supposed to be shit. |
2 | | Fates Warning A Pleasant Shade of Gray
Fell asleep while listening, and yes, I get the irony. Was pretty tired on that evening. Will give it another go. Has some really cool moments, as far as I can tell. |
3 | | Tool Lateralus
Have listened to it many times and I actually prefer Ænima. Lateralus somehow feels longer even though it isn’t. I guess I’m just more into Tool’s Alt Metal style. |
4 | | D'erlanger La Vie en Rose
How does almost no one know about this album? Some of the catchiest Rock music I’ve heard in a long time. I looked it up because the guitarist of Dir En Grey said that this band made him want to play guitar. |
5 | | The Callous Daoboys Celebrity Therapist
Almost fills the void that The Dillinger Escape Plan left, but not quite. Damn weird at times, but that's ok. |
6 | | Secret Band LP2
Revisited this last week and it’s as good as I remembered it. Much more enjoyable that Dance Gavin Dance. To bad this is the side project. |
7 | | Jeromes Dream Seeing Means More Than Safety
I put this on every few week ‘cause it isn’t really an effort in terms of time. 15 minutes and you’re done. Hon-estly though, I don’t the album would any other way. |
