| A Yeti Storm!
Let downs and bull-cocky releases from 09 in the humble opinion of this Yeti in particular. 3.0s-1.0s | 1 | | A Camp Colonia
I am an avid fan of The Cardigans, thus, Nina Perssons and anything she touches I'll at least give a shot. Her side project, ACamp put out their self titled debut in 2004 and the fuzzed out folk rock of Nina and co. was a solid, crafty bit of songs easy to lose yourself in. The Baroque pop and roots rock mix of 'Colonia' -- not so much. It's clunky, the choruses never find their stride, and really, half the album is boring to come back to a second time. :'( 3.0 | 2 | | Japandroids Post-Nothing
I don't get it...and goddammit I'll just listen to it more. 3.0...for now | 3 | | Jay-Z The Blueprint 3
4 awesome singles and a remainder of filler. But 'Run This Town' and 'Empire State of Mind' are baller. 3.0 | 4 | | Kid Sister Ultraviolet
years of delay and mounds and moounds of hyper later -- it's alright. 3.0 | 5 | | Lily Allen It's Not Me, It's You
Average songs with lyrics that try too hard to be life affirming and clever. I miss the biting of "Knock Em Out' and the fancy-free of 'LDN'. | 6 | | The Most Serene Republic ...And The Ever Expanding Universe
The band at the height of over stuffing doesn't stuff quite enough in on their electro-rock 3rd album. 3.0 | 7 | | The Twilight Sad Forget The Night Ahead
forget the album ahead, dudes, remember when you made 'Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters'? 3.0 | 8 | | We Were Promised Jetpacks These Four Walls
That other Scottish band from the same label with Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad sounds like a worse off mix of the two, go figure. 3.0 | 9 | | White Rabbits It's Frightening
Britt Daniels produces an extremely promising bands follow up to a stellar debut -- that pretty much sounds like a dumbed down version of said debut. Minus the immediacy and sense of purpose the first set of songs had...boo. 3.0 | 10 | | Silversun Pickups Swoon
bboorrriinnggg -- 2.5 | 11 | | Deer Tick Born On Flag Day
These dudes are from Rhode Island, so am I, I love supporting local acts, plus their debut 'War Elephant', albeit scattered, was promising. This is 40 minute of generic 'stand up and do...something' acoustic music. | 12 | | Patrick Wolf The Bachelor
I dunno, this album really pissed me off. 2.5 | 13 | | Peter Bjorn and John Living Thing
Everyone needs a flop I guess. An album filled of mostly clunkers and a few decent singles. | 14 | | ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead The Century Of Self
Again: Radio Rock + Booze worthy chanting + bad drumming + Strings + AFI - Emo x U2 = 'The Century of Self' | 15 | | Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
So I really like 'American Idiot' and still do, this is like 'American Idiot'-lite. So instead of all the singles being everywhere and me having to kinda crack a smile -- now I just wanna hurl. 2.0 | 16 | | U2 No Line On The Horizon
AARRGGGHHH!!! like 'Achtung Baby' my ass! 2.0 | 17 | | Amanda Blank I Love You
Sorry Chica, Peaches already did it, and a *lot* better/dirtier than you. And I fucking hate Peaches. 1.5 | 18 | | The Sounds Crossing The Rubicon
I was given this by a friend, under the impression it sounded like a "heavier, edgier Cardigans". No. 1.5 | 19 | | Weezer Raditude
The album cover is cool as hell, but, seriously? *This* is a Weezer album now? 1.5 | 20 | | Asher Roth Asleep In The Bread Aisle
more like Floating In The Toilet Bowl - 1.0 | |
AggravatedYeti

11.25.09 | listen to it Kirgasm, I mean, it's got some good songs that may help fill the void til they release a proper follow up.
I read your review Rude Boy, as usual quality stuff but, album I think is poo. Lily Allen was more so just a let down, 'The Fear, 'Fuck You' and '22' are really good songs, I'm just still bitter 0:) | Kiran

11.25.09 | Oh shit I forgot about 'Chinese'! | AggravatedYeti
11.25.09 | and that's on my mental list of 'Things I'll Probably Love' so I wanna hear it before I start compiling an top 09. tho I did submit a premature top 5 in the forums. | Kiran
11.25.09 | yeah, cymbals eat guitars and animal collective were pretty much the only things i listened to all summer, with a little passion pit and phoenix here and there for good measure | YouAreMySilence
