BigHans 01.21.10	Leppards three album run of High n Dry, Pyromania, and Hysteria is unmatched in the genre and pretty much in all of hard rock if you include album sales.

We talked about it yesterday but I really can't stand Girls, Girls, Girls or to a greater extent, Theatre of Pain. It was hard not to put Leppard and Crue as the top 6, easily could have.

I think W.A.S.P. self titled album should be higher but that's simply beacuse i'm a huge W.A.S.P. fan I'm not sure if you should have included Slide It In though as i wouldn't really say Whitesnake were glam/hair metal until they released their 1987 album but otherwise good job!

BigHans 03.10.10	Slave To the Grind is the superior album, but its not glam metal, its straight up metal. I wrote a ballwashing review for it awhile back.
BigHans 05.07.10	Tesla is arguably the best of all of these bands. I thought about doing their discog but went against it because each one would get like 75 views and 3 comments, pretty much a waste of time.

Inveigh 05.07.10	I'm not really, but back in high school I definitely spun my fair share of Blackout, Pyromania, Slippery When Wet and Skid Row. I was in a punk band, and if you remember back in the early 2000s it was all the rage for punk bands to cover 80s hair metal songs. We did 18 and Life, I Remember You, No One Like You, Bringing On the Heartache and You Give Love a Bad Name (before fucking Atreyu did it). Oh, and Eye of the Tiger too. It ruled.
BigHans 05.07.10	Yeah, I enjoyed the ressurection of sorts of hair metal in the early part of the decade. I loved it all through the 90's, when it was definitely the most uncool music to like. Then, by the time 2000 hit it soundly became nostaligic/quasi ironic to like 80's music again. The punk bands thing helped, as well as the rise of bands like the Darkness. Whether it remains cool in some way or not, it will always probably be one of my top 5 favorite styles of music.
Inveigh 05.07.10	yeah, I was always down with the 80s even when it wasn't cool. Not always the hair metal thing, but stuff like Depeche Mode, U2, The Police, and other metal like Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth etc in the 90s when anything 80s was considered really dorky. I imagine nu-metal will experience a sort of ironic resurrection in the next 5-6 years as well, as it was sort of the hair metal (read, sorta guilty pleasure) for our generation.

Slaughter was one of my favorites in 90 when it came out, although everything else they put out after Stick It To Ya was pretty terrible. Hair Metal ftw.
