The Sludge: Thanks Sputnik
My thanks to Sputnik for finding a few new artist for me to listen to. Always open to new suggestoins. |
1 | | DragonForce Sonic Firestorm
Perhaps I got captured by the light hearted chaos set forth, it's metal even I can get into. |
2 | | Two Gallants What The Toll Tells
Back when this unexpectedly was on the top albums on the front page, it caught my interest to look deeper. Folk mixed with punk vocals, very intriguing. |
3 | | Weezer Pinkerton
I didn't need Sputnik to listen to Weezer, but reading reviews really grasped me to get this classic album. I'm still dumbfounded on it. |
4 | | Thrice The Artist In The Ambulance
Very passionate post hardcore. Well crafted songs and infectious hooks. Sputnik helped me rethink this band over. |
5 | | Strung Out Twisted By Design
Downloaded the album after the review by RandyFromPennywise. Very energetic punk music for anyone to hear. |
6 | | Saves The Day Stay What You Are
Everything about this album is damn near perfect. Well thought out lyrics and heart felt vocals carries this along. |
7 | | Butch Walker Left Of Self-Centered
Roar. It's Butch Walker. I didn't look much into his solo stuff until I first looked through Sputnik. This album is down right genious. |
8 | | Frenzal Rhomb Forever Malcolm Young
Snotty light hearted fast paced punk, kind of like if Dookie was Austrailian based. |
9 | | Elliott Smith Figure 8
RIP, such a shame I leared about his music after his death, but the emotion is running high through his lyrics. |
10 | | Converge No Heroes
Really just getting into the hype of this. I'm not looking into it more than a fun listen with the volume turned up. But thanks. |
11 | | Marvelous 3 Hey! Album
I didn't need Sputnik for this, but it has rekindered my love for the band. |
12 | | Arcade Fire Neon Bible
Well there has been buzz going on about Funeral, so I decided to look further, and I found epic orchestra-like music that is hard to get into, but it grows and captures you so hard. |
13 | | Muse Black Holes And Revelations
Again with the hype. Just after Absoulution was released, I fell in love with the band. Very different sounding and Black Holes is just an extention. |
