Local Acts

Post em if ya got em. My top 3 atm.
1Quiet Child
Thumper

Adelaide-based grandoise prog/alt rock with a distinct metal edge. They opened for Opeth; should tell y'all something. Think maybe Karnivool mixed with Porcupine Tree, and add in one hell of a vocalist. Recommended tracks: The Cold Halls, Ocean of Silhouettes.
24th Wall City
Flight of the Raven

Western Sydney alternative hip-hop duo. Influences from El-P to Rage Against the Machine. Mainly political/cultural based lyricism, with a unique Aussie twist to it. Also sparing alt-metal (Deftones-esque) influences. Recommended tracks: The Raven, Armour
3Between the Devil and the Deep
Paper Spine

What a find. Local Sydney melodic/post-hardcore act. In their own words, Refused/At The Drive-In/Fugazi by way of Defeater and Modern Life Is War. No need for autotune or poppy choruses here, guys. Just searing, in your face emotion. Recommended tracks: Souvenirs, God Hates the New Facebook.
