Misunderstood Metal

Happy to stick my neck out for these albums which are underrated imo. Some are transition albums, some are comeback albums, some are deemed weak but given a fair chance are actually cracking albums. These are pretty much the only albums under a 3 in sputnik that I can comfortably stand by (in a court of law). What are your loved unloved albums?
1Megadeth
The World Needs a Hero

This is Megadeth through and through
2Iron Maiden
The X Factor

Maiden does dark and disturbed (if you know that line)
3Metallica
Load

Too ahead of its time for its own good
4Machine Head
Catharsis

It must be the politics
5Judas Priest
Nostradamus

A two hour rock opera - what could go wrong
6Amon Amarth
The Great Heathen Army

The sound of a band going through the motions - but I love the motions
7Cradle of Filth
Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder

Sandwiched between 2 genuinely forgettable albums, with good songs like The Death of Love
8Arch Enemy
Khaos Legions

Actually full of sweet AE tunes
9Equilibrium
Renegades

Party metal. More interesting than the old stuff
10Architects
The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit

They went all Northlane - to no-one’s delight
11Soulfly
3

Moving away from nu-metal was the only way forward. Back to the metal
12Motley Crue
Theatre of Pain

Historically frowned upon - but real Motley fans know
13Ov HELL
The Underworld Regime

Actually has some good bm
14Before The Dawn
Stormbringers

I get it, the clean singing - but nah it rules
15Miss May I
Deathless

He hates everything we get it but still hooks and riffs
16Slytherin
When the Darkness Comes

Harry Potter atmoblack. You heard me. It’s hit or miss. This is a hit
17Black Sabbath
Technical Ecstasy

Hang on, the drummer sings a song??
