Great concept!
| |
Lets see how they follow up the execution
| |
Article's like a week late but that's all right. Great idea, just hope it doesn't become a trend among lesser bands
| |
Yeah it's late but who cares. Awesome idea.
| |
Release date?
| |
i swear to god if daryl palumbo does guest vocs on this i will shit myself
| |
You can add as many guest musicians as you want and it still won't be a good album
| |
Two of the most most spastic psychotic sounding vocalists in Jason and Keith? Yaaa!
| |
Hopefully they use this chance to do some better fucking production on the album
| |
Production does sound better but unfortunately Keith sounded to tame on this.
| |
I really wish they would release a remastered version of this, with better production, the current production makes it such a hard listen.
| |
The production was definitely improved with the Keith version, so hopefully the full album follows in the same vein.
| |
Both the fan-based and pro-based parts of the idea rule. I wish I had talent.
Also maybe it's just me but the production doesn't sound much better, if at all.
| |
Hopefully, Buckley will give this band a righteous kick up the arse.
| |
This is a cool idea and a decent way to adress the production issues on their last record. Im not sure if im into Buckly's substitution to the
song though. On first listen it came across as awakwardly phrased and devoid of the same enegy of the original section had. Could be that
im just so used to hearing that part as Butler's though.
| |
Production's not even bad on the new album, it's just different and takes a while to get used to and people don't like different things if it's not pretentious.
I mean, I hated it first few listens, but I think it works great with their sound now.
Wasn't really a fan of Buckley's part on this though, hopefully some of the others will be better.
| |
"people don't like different things if it's not pretentious."
yep Sputnik in a nutshell amirite?
| |
idk about that
| |
Better concept than Clear (and execution, hopefully).
| |
Couldn't really get into this band.
| |
is the production still shit?
| |
The song only sounds slightly better production-wise than Blackest Beautiful imo.
Won't be paying for this but i'll probably check it.
| |
the article's "late" because they just made the announcement that fans can participate like, yesterday, and that's the real meat of the news methinks
but yeah great idea from the band, shows love
| |
"You can add as many guest musicians as you want and it still won't be a good album"
true
good thing it's already a good album then
| |
Why compare this to clear?
| |
fuck the awful auto tune is still there
| |
I don't understand why you'd complain about auto tune. Most every band you hear clean singing has some kind of pitch correction on it. I think what you mean to say is you hate the way the cleans are produced.
| |
Just got back from seeing these guys live tonight and wow they were amazing Jason is incredible live
| |
eww keith sounded weak. but that's prolly the production
| |
yeah I thought keith wasn't good on this, but the song in general sounded more powerful
| |
Keith is a very personal writer, so I understand he's not as good when he isn't performing his own material
| |
I think I liked this better than the original 27 Club. Neat idea, too.
| |
That fan inclusion thing seems pretty sweet. I'm seeing them tomorrow in La Crosse, Wi.. Let's see if I can get in a picture lol
| |
go for it man, it'd be cool for a sputnik member (a contributor nonetheless) to get in on something like this
| |
inb4 hep kat tears them a new one
