They'll just never reach the same level as Seasons. With that said this is still good

emo/screamo/acoustic/etc.

hard-hitting, precise journalism. only the best at sputnik music.

Aw come on Aids, would you put CityCop into any of those genres specifically without acknowledging that they employ other elements?

no, but I also wouldn't use "emo/screamo/acoustic/etc." in a news article. I'd say "screamo" or "acoustic screamo." it's not a huge deal, I'm just being an ass because our news articles always suck.

also I'm pretty sure Loner is an LP

also this song fucking slays

Aids being obtuse, this never happens.

Kidding, but yeah I get what you mean. Acoustic screamo would be /professional/ thing to put

how are they never gonna touch seasons? this isn't even out yet and the only thing they've put out since seasons is like a six minute split.

I was referring to their full length as well, I just think Seasons was anomalously good for them. I'm not trying to put the band down, Seasons was just ridiculously good.

I just find the desire to but every band in a strict, genre-defined box is silly. Like, yeah, this band doesn't really fit what the term "screamo" places in peoples' heads, but it's worse to try to pin them down by just listing off a bunch of styles or influences. We're all way too caught up in genres. No one thinks in genres except internet-dwelling, free music consuming, self-proclaimed music critics.

seriously, not trying to be a dick, I don't care that much, I just think it's an interesting point of conversation. Worth talking about at least.

anyway whatever. this band, they are good. their drummer is still so damn good.

Their Sessions EP was really freakin good. I didn't realize they came out with a full length a while ago, I should get on that.

This song is pretty awesome, I love how much energy they can create with acoustics.

My bad, I just didn't want to pigeonhole them haha. Also, i edited the EP thing. I remembered Eddie saying a while back that it was going to be an EP so I just always had that thought in my mind.

Super stoked for the new record though. song slays.

Awesome song. These guys are playing a show at their house down the street from me on Halloween and I'm really considering ditching my friends to go see it

I'm gonna try to hit up the house when I'm home. I'm from like forty minutes from Akron - I miss the Ashtabula shows for sure.
