Fuck, I give these guys 1st prize for best re-established metal band! No other reincarnated band touches Surgical Steel.
| |
what about godflesh? this song goes hard because it's carcass
| |
Ok ok Godflesh is tied. I love both equally!!!!
| |
yeah both comeback records are solid 4s for me, but any band that can reunite like that is grade A quality
| |
Gorguts failed me hard and At the Gates....don't even get me started with how bad their newest record was.
| |
how can you not like Colored Sands though
| |
Colored Sands was great. I don't think At War With Reality is bad at all. Carcass and Gorguts both get A's from me.
| |
From what I've heard of the At The Gates it's really good.
| |
wow...
I loved surgical steel, but this? Euggghh...
| |
Come on, Em. You know you want it.
| |
Yeah Godflesh Gorguts and Carcass all made amazing comebacks imo
| |
did Wintersun count as a comeback or just way overdue? that was pretty decent.
| |
Gorguts and Carcass comebacks were amazing, AtG is just okay but that's saying a lot considering their basic style is more restrictive.
| |
At the Gates decided to continue where they left off and that may be a good or a bad thing. It's a good thing if they just did it that way in order to ease fans back into their music before starting to expand their sound - and that would be an extremely smart move because let's face it, if a band ever reunites and tries to change things they get torn apart. It's a bad thing if they just plan on sticking to the 20 year old formula with a modern production.
| |
Slightly worse than rest of Surgical Steel, am I the only one getting a modern Mustaine-vibe occasionally?
| |
these guys know how to riff getting a wicked death n' roll vibe off this
| |
This new Carcass song sounds like something made to bridge the gap between the Heartwork and Swansong albums.
| |
this sounds like something off of Swansong, this tickles my fancy.
| |
lyrics are lolbad but they don't give a fuck man this is great
| |
This sounds like a crappy Megadeth song, even down to the vocals. 2/5 wtf Carcass.
| |
I don't hear the Megadeth. Then again I don't listen to Megadeth.
| |
he has a weird Mustaine-esque feeling to his voice here for some reason, it's not nearly as growly as it usually is. The riff could pass as a mid-paced Megadeth riff, so that combined with the vocals combined with the weird melodicism of the vocals makes this reek of 'Deth. And I pretty much hate Megadeth so ew please stop carcass watr u doin
| |
yes yes yes yes yes
| |
how can you not like Colored Sands though
Wank shit. They totally lost the vibe of From Wisdom to Hate (arguably their best album) when they decided to exchange song-writing for guitar noodling.
This sounds like a crappy Megadeth song, even down to the vocals. 2/5 wtf Carcass.
Listen to more metal.
lyrics are lolbad but they don't give a fuck man this is great
They've always had campy lyrics. But spot on with the death n' roll vibe. I personally loved Swansong and it sounds like it could have been lifted from it.
| |
More of death n' roll, Swansong style Carcass with this track. Understandably not on Surgical Steel, but still great! That main chorus is catchy as fuuuuuuck.
| |
No other reincarnated band touches Surgical Steel.
both autopsy and brutality had better comeback imo
but i dont even like carcass so im biased
and this song is terrible those vocals are just the worst.
| |
The song is ok. I like pretty much everything from surgical steel better.
| |
It sounds like leftovers :D Still, Carcass leftovers > Most bands best.
| |
Holy shiiiiiiiiit that guitar tone is godly
| |
lol this sounds like what i expected surgical steel to sound like
| |
Sounds like diarrhea to me.
| |
new autopsy + gorguts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
| |
michael snoxall's goat metal album >> this
| |
grocery boy gone metal
| |
Song reminds me of Swansong, which is excellent.
On another note, EPs exist for songs such as this one, songs that don't exactly fit a band's default style.
| |
Catchy stuff, Bill doesn't know how to write a bad riff.
| |
yeah, this is just okay.
| |
Man oh man, if nothing else Carcass knows how to write a riff with some meat on its bones
| |
I liked this a lot. Carcass or Megadeth, this rules.
| |
And I pretty much hate Megadeth so ew please stop carcass watr u doin
lol, listen to rip and then make a judgement.
| |
It rules.
Dat riff is nasty and the 'CATTLE MARKET' hook rules.
| |
I like me some death n roll, thought Swansong was great.
| |
I hope that Carcass won't go in that direction in the future, i mean surgical steel was great, but that sounds like fuckin Korn O.o
| |
will admit the riff is decent and the hook is pretty awesome but everything else about this song blows
| |
megadeth rules y'all, song is decent though
| |
DEATH DISCO
lol
| |
It grew after a couple of listens, lyrics are lolbad but they don't give a fuck man this is great [2]
Better than Super Collider.
| |
Mediocre wannabe Megadeth.
| |
apparently surgical steel was good
damn might have to hear
| |
both autopsy and brutality had better comeback imo
I do love newer Autopsy but it never blew me away. Brutality was Brutality doing what Brutality do best (still awesome nonetheless).
| |
Ire- Surgical Steel is insanely good! Get to it metalhead!
| |
lame
hans will pop a turd tho someone tell his ass
| |
"I hope that Carcass won't go in that direction in the future, i mean surgical steel was great, but that sounds like fuckin Korn O.o"
um what
| |
Death n' roll indeed.
| |
Yeah this track isn't too great at all, and I really liked surgical steel
| |
I grew up with Carcass and I got no time for 2014. Wasnt feeling SS and this is all new levels of terrible. Take me back to NDTI or TOTT
| |
What the hell Jeff?
