People wanted a heavier song after the first teaser, and they definitely got it. Ryo sounds batshit insane in parts of this
| |
That was fucking awesome, Kyo sounds as unrestrained as ever.
| |
Kyo's vocal cords keep on improving with age. Japanese zombie heroez have a purpose again come Wednesday!
| |
Yay.
| |
One of their best songs but yeah, none of their other songs sound like it.
| |
nah there is still diabolos and macabre(2013 ver) for that vinushka craving.
the dude in this video suppose to be the same character/kid actor as in the old Saku/kodou videos
| |
Sweet song, always did like it when they went heavy
Really dug the guitar parts in the second edited song too
| |
"Kyo's vocal cords keep on improving with age."
Possibly. He uses a lot of technological vocal magic live though, even when doing growls.
| |
I don't like Dir en Grey but damn that fucking ruled. So did their last track, I may have to actually check the album despite me not liking their previous albums.
| |
@CalculatingInfinity: I take it you didn't care for Gauze or Kisou, then?
| |
I listened to Uroboros, Withering to Death and Obscure and I didn't care much for them. I haven't listened to those yet (caught up on other things) but I am aware they're different to their other material. I should try one of them while I do my Linear Algebra tonight.
| |
So damn stoked to check this out!
| |
That guy looks a lot like Kyo haha I thought it was him through most of it. Then I saw the last
shot where he's actually tall.
| |
I'm waiting until this comes out until I submit my best lbums of the year
| |
Tomorrow can't come soon enough!
| |
'the dude in this video suppose to be the same character/kid actor as in the old Saku/kodou videos'
That is awesome. haha
| |
such a great song/band, the video was kinda dumb with how hard it tried to be edgy and dark but still awesome song. i'll be living in japan for a while next year so i'm hoping to see them live. i got the idea that they were really big in japan for some reason but not one of my japanese friends has even heard of them and they are all terrified when i show them their music. they all just like boy bands.
| |
They are big in the metal scene. If they're terrified of the music, that says a lot of why they haven't heard of them.
| |
i guess that's true, but some of them know other metal bands like maximum the hormone, but not dir en grey.
| |
Maximum the hormone music was featured in a popular anime, this might have been the reason for a non-metal fan to have exposure to them.
About the music, Un Deux is awesome, the heavy one seems a bit generic, maybe needs to grow on me.
| |
it leaked, well not technically leaked since it's out in japan today but whatever.
| |
it's really good, it's basically a more melodic dum spiro spero with some sukekiyo-esque
experimentation and a bit of vulgar thrown in.
| |
I'm now listening to that. Kaishun is the new Toguro.
| |
i don't really hear that tbh haha
| |
The 3:00 min part reminds me of it and the general feeling. The whole album is awesome though, it really has its own style, just like DSS had its own. They made it again, a distinct, high quality album!
| |
Long time lurker here, but just dropping in to say this album is Godly. Third time looping it and it's getting better each time.
| |
Need to hear this album.
| |
album's great but it hasn't really sunk in for me. i have no idea what to rate it.
| |
Same
